VP of Finance

Derek Sutcliffe joins Pennington Partners & Co. as VP of Finance, bringing expertise in accounting and financial operations for alternative investment platforms.

Prior to Pennington, Derek was a Director at The RockCreek Group, a Washington, D.C.-based multi-asset RIA, where he led the controller function for the firm's alternative investments and Outsourced Chief Investment Officer services. Previously, at New York-based LSV Advisors, he oversaw accounting and operations for private equity secondary funds and the management company. Derek began his career at PwC auditing alternative investment firms.

Derek graduated magna cum laude from Binghamton University with both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
