About the role:
The Market Leader role holds a prominent role in the organization, focusing on the growth and health of Pennington’s UHNW families as well as the wellbeing of the office environment and team. As the General Manager for the territory, the ideal candidate will maintain a pulse on the business and it’s scalability as well as play a pivotal role on new business and profitability. It is likely over time that the role will report directly to the Director of Operations, Pennington Partners.
What you’ll do:
Work directly with the CEO and Director of Operations to design and implement the wealth management territory business strategies, plans and procedures.
Set comprehensive goals and manage to performance and growth for the territory
Work with leadership team to promote company culture and vision
Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning
Oversee territory office operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met
Ensure territory recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention are in effect and connected to growth objectives.
Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
Lead all territory operations including but not limited to, sales, marketing, client services, and portfolio management.
Monitor performance with tracking and establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting
What we’re looking for:
2 years of proven experience as Director level Wealth Manager, Investment Advisor or relevant role or progressive leadership experience within the RIA/Family Office space
A minimal of 5 years of experience working within RIA/Private Wealth Management/Family Office
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field, An Advanced Degree or MBA will be preferred but is not required
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities and personal integrity
A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
Able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues
Belief in, and willing to champion the Core Values of the company
